How do I use GloPRO®?
So, how to use microneedling at home? GloPRO® can be used right out of the box. Before starting, wash your face. Press the power button to ignite the LED red light and pulse stimulation, and you’re ready to roll. Glide GloPRO® over your cheeks, chin and forehead in a combination of horizontal, diagonal and vertical strokes for 60 seconds total, spending extra time on target concerns if needed. After you’re done, sterilize GloPRO® by spritzing the attachment head with isopropyl alcohol, then store in a dry place. Make the most of your microneedling treatment by immediately following up with a serum or moisturizer. (More on that below!)
How much pressure should I apply when microneedling?
Let the weight of GloPRO® work its magic, no extra pressure is required.
Does microneedling hurt?
Not at all. Unlike the doctor’s office variety, at-home microneedling tools are totally painless. The sensation is like an exfoliating scrub plus the vibration of an electric toothbrush. While an at-home derma roller is covered in hundreds of needles, blood is never drawn, and the micro-channels created in the skin are imperceptible to the eye.
Where can I microneedle?
The most popular target areas are on the face (forehead, cheeks, chin), neck, décolleté, and body (buttocks, thighs, abdomen and arms). The only place we don’t microneedle is on sensitive, compromised skin, which includes eyelids, open wounds (including active acne) and raised surfaces like moles.
When should I microneedle?
We recommend microneedling at night for 60 seconds, 3x a week, however you can definitely GloPRO® more (even every day if desired). We roll at night to allow our bodies time to do regenerative work. By microneedling just before we sleep, collagen production in our skin is enhanced thanks to this natural regenerative cycle. Plus, skin can be flushed and sensitive post-microneedling, so this allows our faces time to sleep it off.
Does microneedling help with fine lines and wrinkles?
Yes! Microneedling is a multipurpose treatment that helps with wrinkles, acne scars, sagging skin, uneven skin tone and more. When microneedling, you’re making microscopic indentations in your skin’s collagen network along with “micro-channels,” which are pathways that allow skincare to access deeper layers of the skin. This action triggers a natural healing response which produces an abundance of new collagen and elastin in these areas. New structural proteins are produced, which makes existing wrinkles and scarring appear smaller and less noticeable.
